American Legion Post 178 is set to visit
Walter Reed Army
Medical Center on May 30th and 31st 2009, in order to
honor those who have been wounded in the Global War on
Terror. We will be leaving early on May 30th from the Legion
and traveling by Bus to Washington DC. Our trip will include
a visit to Arlington National Cemetery and some of the
Memorials on the Mall in Washington DC. Our Barbeque and
Picnic will with our Wounded Warriors and their families
will start at 11am on Sunday May 31st. Following its
conclusion we will be returning to New York.
Mission Statement:
“To
give a special thanks from the citizens of New York,
Connecticut, and Massachusetts, to our “Wounded Warriors” for
their sacrifice in the service of our country; and to enlighten
our community to the needs of our servicemen & women and their
families.”
Objectives:

To
deliver health and comfort items to our Wounded Warriors at
Walter Read Army Medical Center.

To
provide a forum for the citizens of our community to say Thank
You to our Wounded Warriors and their Families.
·
To
provide a “First Class Luncheon” to our Wounded Warriors and
Families.
